Cai came home from school today all smiles, he received another star award/certificate at the school assembly. This one was for being Successful. That was a nice surprise today.
Keep in mind now that Cai is only 7:
I have been having a hard time with him and this talent show at school. He doesn't seem to get it that you need a talent to be in it. You just can't take instruments to school and play them in front of everyone. I helped out in his class yesterday and the teacher asked them what they did on the weekend. I had already prepped him in the morning, I told him he could tell the class he watched his big brother in a Jazz Festival. Did he say that, NO! He told the class he has been getting things ready for the talent show. Then the principal came into the class, Cai says hello to him and asks him does he know anything about the talent show, Mr. M. told him no, he needed to speak to Mrs. H. Cai then asked him if he was going to be watching it, he said yes, Cai then tells him he is going to be in it. Oh Dear.
Forget music lessons or practicing, he already knows how to play. lol. Jon Bon Jovi has said he didn't like his music lessons at first either. So maybe there is hope? lol. Cai is a little headbanger. He listens to some of Patrick's music, like the Scorpions.
This brings back memories of a few years ago when he honestly thought he had spider powers from a spider biting him. This was his spiderman faze. This lasted nearly a year.
Oh my goodness, I get a laugh a day from one of them.
He is doing better with his swimming! yah.

Ahhh, way to go Cai. I can only imagine how excited he was to get his award! Great to hear about his swimming :o)

How exciting. My daughter thought she had superpwers at one point when a spider bit her too, it only last a few days though!:)
